First Impressions:

Driving up to this course you enter through a gate that is much like a cattle ranch with the name of the course stretched across the entrance. Drive up a small incline and enter the large parking area and you can see much of the course and the club house from there. Everything looks great and you can tell right away that this is a top-notch golf course.

About the course:

This course is open to the public and offers membership. The course includes a unique hole (8 par 3) that is extra fun to play. It is an elevated tee-box that plays down to a green that has a large hill in the background. On top of the large hill is a large bell. Make a hole-in-one here and the bell is rung that can be heard everywhere. See photos included in this post.

About Our Game:

I was paired up with a nice young man named Corbin. He is a member here and was happy to play along with me and provide some information about each hole along the way. We headed out to hole #1 on this very windy day and I got a triple bogie on the 1st hole. On hole #3 we both hit up on the green about 2 feet from each other. Corbin made par. On hole #5 we were alongside each other again making our approach shots to the green. Hole #8 is the “bell” hole and is fun to play. It is a 190-yard par 3 with an elevated t-box. There is a large hill in the back of the green with a large bell on top of the hill. If you get a hole-in-one here, they ring the bell. I hit a good shot to the green but got bogie. Most of the holes here are downhill. On hole #15 we were both on the green close by each other and we both made bogie.

Results:

Corbin            1-Par 0-birdie

Tony               2-Par 0-birdie

My Favorite Hole:

My favorite hole was #8. It’s hard not to like the challenge on this hole. Hitting down to the green on a par 3 from an elevated green is always fun. Then there is the opportunity of getting that bell to ring. I got a bogie, but I think I could of did better in less wind. In-spite of the wind it was a fun day on a pretty course. Thak you Corbin for joining me and making it a great day of golf in Wyoming.
