First Impressions:

As soon as I entered the club house, I knew this was going to be a very good experience. The pro shop is large, and the dining room area is huge. The view from the deck is stunning and everything appears to be well maintained.

About the course:

I checked in at the pro shop and there was one person available to go out with me. I was paired up with (Karla). I had some time to hit a few balls at the driving range and noticed they are different than most ways of providing the balls. Instead of a machine that dispenses them they have a bin full of golf balls and bags (small and large). You take a bag and load it with balls from the bin. I like it.

About Our Game:

Karla is a resident and member of the golf club. She explained she had not swung a club for some time but was here today to prepare for a tournament she is signed up for. She also said she had an appointment to get to that would require her to leave after the 16th hole. I was glad to know she is a member and so any information she can provide about how to play each hole would be greatly appreciated. We started off on the first hole and she outdrove my drive. It was obvious that she could play a good game. On #8 we had to hit a long shot over water. I ended up in the water, but Karla made it across. On #9 our 2nd shots landed close to each other. I made a chip-in for par. On #13 Karla made a great chip shot that ran up close to the hole and made par. On #14 out tee shots were neck, and we stayed close all the way to the hole with bogie for each. After #16 Karla had to leave and I finished the last two holes on my own.

Results:

Karla             1-Par 0-birdie

Tony              2-Par 1-birdie

My Favorite Hole:

My favorite hole was #16 par 3 high up on a cliff hitting down to the green below. I landed just short of the green and finished with a double bogie.

My thanks to Karla for a great day out on a beautiful golf course.
