South Carolina – Charleston
04/27/26
Charleston National is a Rees Jones designed championship golf course, open to the public, year-round. Rated by Golf Digest as the best non-resort golf course in the Charleston area, it truly is Charleston’s “hidden gem.”
I got a 9:30 AM tee time here and the pro shop set me up with 2 other gentlemen and one lady to play along with. It was a nice 70 degrees and the course looked great. I hit a few practice balls at the range and a few practice putts before getting started.

I liked the view of the course that I could see from the club house. The club house and everything was in great shape and well maintained. The staff were very helpful in getting me set up for this event.

My Favorite Hole:
I think that would be hole #9. It’s the longest par 5 on the course and I made par. I made a great long down the middle tee shot, then my second went about 140 yards short of the green. My third was again short by just 3 yards. I chipped up close to the pin and made par with the one putt.
